Panties vs free-ballin??

Le sigh... :/ so I just got my 2nd OB (1st one was almost two months ago) and it's definitely less intense, praise the lord! Underwear is the devil these days but my sores feel awful "blowing in the wind," especially when I'm wearing my work pants. What does everyone else do??

Well, if you DO wear underwear, try 100% cotton and make sure they are not too tight. If it's still a real problem, try slathering Zinc ointment on the area (and have undies for those days so it doesn't matter if they get stained) or maybe Alow Vera CREAM (NOT gel, which has alcohol in it) .... OR, wear a nice long Maxi skirt and go commando.

 

And go commando as much as possible when at home. The more you can attack it when at home (Epsom Salts baths, keeping the area dry and aired, etc) the faster you can get it to clear up :)

Ok thanks @WCSDancer2010 :) I've been kinda nervous to put any kind of cream or ointment on my sores because I was scared it would make it worse but I'll definitely give it a try! And yes I'm commando a lot these days now lol who needs underwear anyway?!

I put tea tree oil on mine and it usually clears it right up. Also makes it feel like it can breathe! I also put it on when I feel an ob coming along!

I would be to scared to go commando...Im nearing the end of my first ob..i hope, and sometimes it puses and soaks through my underwear to my pants, how do you avoid that? and also is there a way to make the itch go away or lessen? its driving me mad

Put a pantiliner on and maybe some zinc cream so it doesn't stick to your pantiliner.

Going Commando will help it to dry up faster.... initially you may need to run to the restroom to do a quick clean-off with some kind of wipes (witch hazel would likely be best if you could find them)

 

Try the suggestions in these links... especially the Epsom Salts and Blow Drier for starters ... you may want to try the Alum that I suggest as it really dries the lesions out quickly but if they are open it may really sting to start so you have been warned!

you know, going commando doesn't work as well for us guys. nature made our thighs rub together and no boxers with these damned long shorts we wear these days equals rash.

Do you know some brands of brand of zinc ointment I can use cause the ones I keep seeing are saying it for lips & I don't want to get the wrong one

Lol.. anything with Zinc works but I'd use the ones that are for diaper rash... they are thick and help protect the area when you pee and don't spread all over ;)

I wear lots of yoga pants and no undies when I have an outbreak ...it really helps and is also very comfortable
