Natural remedy ?

Does anyone know of anything that can help my son, he is on 500mg Valtrex daily but is still having many outbreaks he also takes L-Lysine and many other things natural wise is there anything else he could be doing ? I am still really hoping he will eventually join the forum

He can go up to 1 g of valtrex per day 500 mg twice per day (Talk to dr about it)

 

It will take time for his body to build antibodies so he may just have to ride it out

 

U can purchase alum stuff I don't know the name Dancer had a link somewhere she will post. That way when blisters come...they likely will be dried up and gone quicker.

 

I wish u luck to get him on his forum, all of us here have our bad days, our pity parties....some more than others (guilty)....one thing is certain everyone on here as been where he is at some point and we can relate and show empathy.

Here's the links to things that others have tried ... most have been confirmed as useful by others here ... I think I still have to add Hydrogen Peroxide as another thing that has helped a few ... either spray the area and then pat dry and use a blow drier to get it good and dry, or dab a little on the OB with a Q tip..

I use Lysine, Virastop, and if I feel tingly down there, I use melissa oil mixed with lavendar oil and put it directly on the place my outbreaks occur and it stops them from coming.

Maybe look up trigger foods.

not saying he has to cut out all the trigger foods that are listed... but just untill things calm diwn a bit!?
