It's not the phone ... just make sure you only hit the "Post Discussion" button ONCE ... every time you hit it, it posts again ... it may *look* like it didn't post but that is a glitch in the program :/

I have noticed it takes FOREVER when you start a new discussion for the first post to load up. I have never experienced that with any other forum I am apart of. Is there no solution to avoid this slow load to avoid double posting?

Actually it has already been addressed once (@adrial upgraded recently) and at some point he will be doing a total overhaul but he needs to get some income coming in (via the Home Study course and donations) so he can take the time to do the overhaul. Adrial does this site as a service that brings him little or no income at the moment. You can always chip in HERE http://bit.ly/1apaEJ5 ... there used to be a donation button on here if you feel that you gained something and want to help towards the cause....

 

It seems to be an issue with the server .... or perhaps the program (I believe this is a GoDaddy widget but I'm not sure exactly how it works) ... and it's complicated by the fact that we are getting so many hits that the server sometimes can't keep up (which is why he upgraded recently ... but we still get "microbursts" of activity at times that overload things.

 

*Usually* as soon as you hit post, the post actually shows up here ... it just looks like it has not gone through. When I do a new post, I open another window immediately and check that it went through and it usually has ... ;)
