Lysine, Zinc, and Propolis to Help Treat (h)???

Recommended Posts

So I came across some sporadic info about how a combo of Lysine, Zinc, and Propolis may be a way to treat/reduce herpes ob symptoms and shedding. Has anyone read up further on this or actually taking these supplements as a treatment/therapy? I was able to find the zinc and lysine, but will need to order the propolis.

There are those who are big fans of propolis ... I've never tried it so I can't speak for it. I personally feel that there are many supplements out there that work for some because they contain something that *they* need/are deficient in ... so you may just have to try it and see if it works for you.... it certainly shouldn't hurt anything ;)

Propolis a resinous mixture that honey bees collect from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources. It is used as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the hive. Based on the available scientific evidence, the National Institutes of Health rates propolis as "possibly effective" for treating cold sores, genital herpes, and post-surgery mouth pain. But there are no studies that have proven anything so it's a matter of trying it and seeing if it works for you :)
