Tender lymph nodes near pubic bone ?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I was recently diagnosed with GHSV1 for 11months. This month I did not have a visible outbreak, but I believe I have swollen lymph nodes in the groin area. My question is about the location of my tender lymph nodes. It's not located in the crease where my thigh and public area meets but it's located on both sides of my pubic bone. Are lymph nodes located there as well? If so, is it common to have some tenderness there without an outbreak, how long would this last? I went to my gyno and she told me not to worry but didn't explain what the reason it maybe.

Thank you so much.

Yes lymph nodes are all over. This is just a sign of your immune system recognizing the virus trying to come out of dormacy and catching it.

Okay. Thank you so much. I was very concerned . I took valtrex thinking it will go away but it hasn't. Just wanted to make sure that it's because of this virus and nothing else.. It's been tender to the touch for the past two weeks.

Valtrex can take time and it doesn't always make everything go away.. I have found the couple times I had swollen lymph nodes, they take longer to go away than any sire I have. Yeah, mine have been like that too. I've even had sharp aching for the first time in my groin crease, where I kept getting bright red sensitive skin fro. H.

Yeah. Something we have to get use to, but have you ever experienced it in the area I'm discussing ?
