A year in November and still no better?

Recommended Posts

I am still having very noticeable redness at penis tip and around opening with the discomfort in my urethra like a constant burning that fades and comes on strong at times. I am at a loss I went back to Heath clinic and the ladie doctor said she could see the redness and wanted to treat me for any other possibilities gave me a shot and two pills I prayed this would work with everyone saying herpes doesn't last that long? It didn't clear it up so know I'm just going day by day but not feeling any change for the better. I have still not tried take antiviral daily that was my last hope and I'm to that point. If anyone that I have talked to has found out anything please let me know.

Umm.. Obs come in many different forms, not just the text book blisters. Obs can be redness, which I had 8xs in a row for two months and finally cleared that up and knock on wood, haven't had it for two weeks now. They can be red bumps, which is what I get now, but on my buttcheeks.. You need to find another doctor. You really need to get on daily suppression, because your immune system is struggling to suppress it.

What everyone else said. I too was having constant symptoms for months until I was on antivirals daily. Since then I haven't had any outbreaks and rarely have symptoms anymore. But before I was on the daily meds, I had constant burning and nerve pain. I'm on valtrex 500 mg daily now.

I have symptoms that last a month and then some that last two days ... sometimes is sores, others its just a rash. I have been taking Antivirals since I was diagnosed since last October ... I just hope that it will eventually subside and get better. :( I feel your pain. I would get on antivirals.

Yeah, there's no telling. I went from back to back obs for two months recently.. Was clear for about almost 3, then drank liquor (my trigger.. I knew I'd wake w a bump or two.. It was on my buttock) and it was fine in two days... It can be so unpredictable.. I went from non-dtop obs that 2000mlgs of valtrex couldn't stop, to none to only having one, cause liquor is my trigger... So unpredictable.
