Has anyone else dealt with intense itch?

Recommended Posts

I have been dealing with my first herpes outbreak for two weeks come tomorrow, and the pain is FINALLY gone for the most part so I am SUPER thankful for that. However, I've have barely slept over the last four days because the itchiness is almost unbearable. I talked to my doctor over the phone and she tried to put me on meds for yeast infection because she thinks I may have developed one from the UTI antibiotic I've been taking for a week, but I told her no because A) the amount of meds I'm putting on and in my body right now is already overwhelming, and B) the itchiness is not JUST where it usually is for a yeast infection but specifically where all my shrinking sores are, and I have several on my butt cheeks. It's really, REALLY hard to resist scratching, which only makes it worse.

Any advice? Has anyone gone through this?

I have although I just deal with it and haven't tried any treatments. I have heard epsom salt in warm water (bath) will help. Also baking soda (not sure if this is topically applied but there was no mention of using it in water). I'm sure someone might have other suggestions because itching and herpes is common!

Amid a flare-up, it's conceivable to bother the wounds and rankles, and this aggravation can be lead to additionally tingling. You ought to first attempt to abstain from scratching decently well, both for sanitation reasons and to decrease the tingling side effects. You ought to likewise wear baggy garments over genital herpes, as this will keep grating from disquieting the injury. Cleaning the wounds can likewise keep some tingling. At the point when the sore is open, those with herpes are additionally at danger for disease, and contamination can bring about a genuinely serious tingle. A few specialists likewise suggest absorbing your injuries warm water with some kind of drying operator, like Epsom salt.
