Picking the right doctor?

I had a terrible experience with my first doctor. I've talked about it before on here. But recently just moved and have been off my suppressant for several weeks now because my prescription ended and I have been terrified to go to the doctor. I know gyno would probably be the best doctor to see. Before I was seeing a infectious disease specialist doctor. But does anyone have any suggestions on picking the right doctor? I want to make sure it is someone who has worked with people like me and is not judgemental like my last doctor. My last doctor had me get tested to see if pregnancy, although I had not been sexually active since I found out I had herpes and was more then positive that I wasn't pregnant. She also told me it was unimportant to find out what type of HSV I had. And proceeded to take my blood several different times to run other STI/STD tests on me because she was convinced I most likely had another STI/STD, because I had unprotected sex once with the guy I had been seeing for over a year.

I just really don't want another doctor like that and am really hoping to find a good one.
