White bumps that don't go away.

I started tanning before a trip in Feb 2016. Soon after I noticed white pimple like bumps so I did some self treating. About July I went to get looked at and was tested and was told I have herpes. The doctors office said if I get an outbreak to call for medication. As of now I still have the same bumps no weeping or scabs or itching or pain. Is this an outbreak? Doctor was no help at all. Don't know where to turn.

The last time I had sex before the bumps was October of 15

Could you clarify if you had a swab or blood test done?

I had a blood test around the end of July.

Sometimes you get white bumps that are like little cists that have nothing to do with herpes. Could be that. Go a to a urologist and get them checked out.

I had something the way you describe but it was follicullitis....I'm sure in your next apt hopefully they will swab it.

Don't know if they can swab them with out cutting one open. If they can do that.

I agree with the other posters, this is probably not herpes. A dermatologist might be able to help as well.

Went to doctors today. She said it doesn't look like herpes. She cut one off and is sending it out to get checked. Should be about a week.

The test showed that I have Molluscom Contagiosum virus. Going back in on Nov 2nd to have them treated by freezing them.

Almost 20 days since my treatment. Was told the freezing would kill the virus and cause blood blisters under the bumps which has happened. The blisters then form new skin and the bumps flake off which has happened also. At this point most of the blood blisters are almost gone with no scares.
