TMI but Question!

So this may be too much information or too graphic, but I have a cut around around my genital area which I believe is from wiping too hard after peeing because I use the restroom so frequently and I have HSV-2. Will this cause an outbreak just by being in the genital area?

Maybe...maybe not. Everyone is different. Is it possible that the cut itself is an outbreak?

I don't believe so, I just got off medication a couple days ago and think it's just a cut. But if it is an outbreak how do I know?

That's the hard part. I was having very mild outbreaks for decades and didn't know. What I remember as more obvious outbreaks (in hindsight), would sting when I touched it and the area itched a lot. It might be different for you. Maddening, I know!! I think many of us just get better at recognizing our outbreaks over time.

So should I worry about this? Ever since the diagnosis I've been so paranoid about everything I feel and I freak out that somehow it's reached my mouth even though I've fairly careful

Your doctor is really the best person to tell you if you should've concerned or not. Wish I could be of more help.
