Forgot if I took my Valacyclovir, might've taken 2?

Hello, I have two alarms set for my Valtrex every night but totally forgot if I took one during the first alarm, so I took one at the second alarm (15 minutes later), and then remembered I might've taken one just before? Each pill is 500 mg so it would've totaled 1000mg, is that ok? In the future if I'm not sure, would it be better to just wait till the next day? I'm super anxious about the whole thing and will definitely be keeping a chart to remember if I took it or not from here on out!
