Feeling paranoid about herpes and not able to accept

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I'm feeling a little paranoid, to make the long story short, I feel like I have hiv. To begin my bf and I have had weird diarrhea phase. Sorry for sounding so direct.. Well most of his family has had it too and then all of a sudden I did too. Is this all in my head?

It will be a year in August since my diagnoses of hsv but everything came out negative other then the hsv. My next question is if I have it wouldn't it have appeared on my blood test? I checked for everything. Every little thing is making me paranoid and I'm always and constantly cleaning myself and washing my hands after every little thing.

Some great advice would help! Anyone go through this?

So you're attributing diarrhea to an STD? I'm confused. ;) Hey, maybe you and the family ate some bad meat.

Seriously, it doesn't help anything to allow the paranoia to take over. It only exacerbates the perceived problem. Move past thinking about this all the time and move on with what excites you and inspires you about your life!

Hey girls...trust those blood tests. You are okay but just feeling scared. If you feel like you are going crazy over it then get tested again - two negatives will make you feel better. And then get on with enjoying life..like Adrial says, find things that excite and inspire you - there won't be time to be worried about Herpes or any symptoms meaning anything else. I do know how you feel...been there too - but honestly life is too short - get out there and live it :-) x
