If asymptomatic, is there ANY way to know when OBs occur?

Recommended Posts

Just diagnosed with HSV2+ yesterday. I've had zero symptoms. Only reason I knew to get tested is because my husband had symptoms last week and tested HSV2+ Monday. Our tests suggest his was recurrent, and mine is recent/new. No idea how long he's had it, and I'm sure he didn't know. I am grateful that he had symptoms (though didn't notice previous symptoms) because otherwise I don't know how or when we would have known, if ever. We've both been reading everything to learn how to go forward safely. I know we should abstain during any OBs - but how can we ever know if I'm having an OB if I can't see or feel anything at all?
