Herpes itch

Greetings!

 

I have had HSV2 for over 3 years now but when I have an OB I normally get prodrome symptoms on my legs rather than my genitalia. I take my medicine to prevent it from getting to an actual OB but recently I ran out of my medicine and I’m getting an actual OB on my genitalia .

 

I think the OB has ran its course and it’s healing but has anyone experienced itching during the healing phase? I haven’t had an OB in so long I almost forget .

 

I’m mostly just wondering because I want to get a gauge on where I am in my healing phase, my boyfriend isn’t a carrier of herpes and after almost 2 years of dating I have been lucky enough to have never passed it on to him. I would like to figure out how much longer I should be waiting until we can go back to having sex and I just thought the itching was normally at the start of an OB .... so I’m just confused .

I'm having ongoing itching/tingling after my first outbreak and am wondering (slash freaking out) about it as well. Like, is it ever going to go away? Is this going to be constant? Hoping for answers...
