Should i wait to get tested?

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

So I've just scheduled an appointment with my PCP for June 9 which should be 4 months from my exposure. This was after getting a result of 1.04 equivocal on an IGM test and then a few weeks after a negative result for both hsv 1 and 2 on an IGG test which i took 3 months from my exposure. From the time i can remember when this started, i had itching in my pubic hair are around my genitals a few days after which stopped after a few days. There were no lesions. I also had a persistent rash on my thigh and calves which comes and goes. I have really dry skin.

And then for about a month now, my anus has been mildly itchy. I havent told my PCP about this since i was expecting the last IGG test i had would be positive. So my question is, do i wait for my next test which is 2 weeks from now? Or do i let my doctor know about the itch in my anus? Am i delaying the inevitable by just waiting for the next test? Do doctors swab the anus?
