Dental Dams

Can an experience dental dam user give some pointers and preferences on brands and use. I thoroughly enjoy oral (giving and receiving) and certainly don't want to cut this out of my life  and would love to learn some best practices.

Remind me which HSV strain you have? 1 or 2?

Don't know yet. My diagnosis was from a pap, not an outbreak. I asked my doctor to order an Igg test, however it hasn't been 16 weeks. I don't have any active sores to swap either.

My guess/hope is hsv1 from the minor outbreak and response to antivirals, but honestly no clue. 

Do you think I should still get blood work or wait a couple more months?
