Trying not to lurk but partake....

Ok, I have to admit though my busy schedule and family do not always allow me the time to sit down and play at the computer I do check in on you guys here and there. I want to write and respond to you all I just feel so "green" with herpes experience. It has only been 6 weeks for me since my initial diagnosis. (though I have now had 3 outbreaks. Glad to say they were both nothing at all like my first. Lasting 4 days and the last 2 days, so small and I was able to nip it in the bud as soon as I realized it was there) I am still educating myself and don't have much knowledge to share, But I can lend an ear if anyone needs it. I still have my moments of emotional ups and downs around it. But I will not let this virus define me!!!!!!! Just wanted to reach out and say Thank you to everyone your stories are inspiring, informative and I am here for you all even if I am quiet.......

Yeah, it sucks when busy schedules take us away from healing and taking care of ourselves, doesn't it? :) And I know where you're coming from, too. It's a balancing act of living life and keeping an eye on all our priorities. Thanks for checking back in, BOOH. Good to hear from you again.

Welcome BOOH. :) We are all so glad to have you here whenever you can check in.

Anything that is a new experience is going to take a while to adjust to. Herpes is no different. It is definitely a life changer, but if you have the right attitude, that can be a very positive change. Still, any change is stressful and it takes time. As you say, no silly virus needs to define us but we can allow it to help us grow in a way that we may not have otherwise. I am so happy to hear you so positive just six weeks in and I am so pleased to see you reaching out. It demonstrates your commitment to taking care of yourself, no matter how busy your life may be. :)

Baby steps my dear. You will be amazed at how far slow by steady can take you! I look forward to hearing from you whenever you have a chance.

Hugs,

Brenda
