Female to female herpes transmission?

Recommended Posts

It's the same %s from the handout based on who is receiving sex with the person with herpes. Whether a woman is having sex with a man with herpes or a woman with herpes, the % is the same. The higher percentage (10% vs. 4% without any protection or outbreaks, 50% lower with suppressive therapy, 30-50% lower with condoms) is due to women having more of a mucous membrane than men.
