Herpes and oral sex risks

Hello all, I have a question that I'm sure has been asked many times before on this forum but here goes. I have HVS2, can I pass it to someone via oral sex? Can they then get HVS2 and give it to someone else or is that impossible? I mean while I am not having an OB not while I am (obviously).  I have heard this is possible but I don't know.

I talked to a few different doctors about this and received some mixed messages so I thought I would try here and see what people thought.

Any help is much appreciated.

Ps. I'm male if that makes a difference.

Many thanks!

Great question! Yes, it’s possible since 1-2% of all oral herpes cases are HSV-2. (And there have actually been stories on these forums of people getting throat herpes, but overall that’s pretty rare.)

Here’s an article for you to read to get you all knowledgeable: https://herpeslife.com/spreading-genital-herpes-hsv2-from-oral-sex/

... and here's a link to the e-book + fact sheets: https://herpeslife.com/opportunity/free-ebook-signup.html

Hi

Also just like to add, you will get better information on this website than what Doctors will tell you,
as believe it or not, they don't seem that knowledgeable about H.

You're saying you have genital and you're asking if you can pass it on via oral sex?

Just trying to understand.

Yes, exactly and thanks for any help in advance.
