when my sister went to the E.R. she was diagnoised with hsv2 and two weeks ago I took her to get a blood test and her hsv2 test was negative. she had the lesions and everything they are going to test her in six months to see if she still is Negative. I am just wondering if she could have been misdiagnoised?  they took her blood and urine and swabbed her. any imput is appreciated.

I don't think swabs can be misdiagnosed, but bloods can.

when she had an outbreak she went to the E.R. she said it was a day or two later and her swabs was Negative plus they took urine also.i just hope she is negative.

If she just contracted it it may be a few months for it to show up in her blood.

it had been 3 months when she was tested for hsv2 again.(she was positive for hsv2) she was tested once 3 months ago  and then was tested like 2 weeks ago and was negative.
