Diagnosed today I have a question...

Hello,  So as I thought. I have it.  I was visually diagnosed, swabs will be back next week but they said even if they come back negative its a positive i have it.

Im still in a lot of pain.  This first outbreak is pushing me badly. The pain is unbearable.  I feel ill all over.

I have a question....

Do I tell the guy I had sex with last week before I got the outbreak i have it?     We had sex on the Thursday, i had first symptoms on Sunday.  Im really scared.

I would say tell. But how can they say your positive if swabs come back negative?

I really don't know.  He just said he can confirm it is HSV visually.  I did ask him to repeat that and he confirmed it was the case.
