Dry lips? Dry “canal” ? Outbreaks?

1) Does herpes make your lips dry? I drink water everyday, some days A LOT, others a little (lately it’s been a little). However, the past 3 days, my lipgloss gets absorb super fast (minutes) and then I’m left with this awkward lip dryness that seems not stay moisturized.

2) How do you know if you have an internal outbreak? My OBs started off externally on the perineum & a little by the anus. However, sex these past 2 times in 3 days has been uncomfortable. I’ve been dry and it feels like friction and on the right side (inside) it feels like some kind of polyp that is disturbed when rubbed. It doesn’t burn or sting, but it hurts due to friction. Lube doesn’t help. Dryness is not normal for me.

My lips are currently dry too. It is due to the current cold weather where I live. Is it cold where you live? I used all kinds of lip balms and nothing worked. The only thing that worked is just plain old Vaseline.

You won't really know if you are having an internal outbreak. I suggest you make an appointment with your gynecologist because only a gyn visit can give you an answer to your current symptoms.

I researched and realized not only is it due to the weather but also licking your lips dries them out. Thanks though
