I have been married 32 yrs and never cheated on my husband..dr. said herpes can lie dormant for years..but 33 years?? Can someone help me with this? His is getting tested soon.

I have been with my husband for 30 years, married for 26.  He had oral herpes Hsv1 since before we met.  Just this week, after all these years, I have contracted genital herpes (hsv1)from him.   I am miserable but so is he.  He feels guilty and I feel horrible.   Trying to figure it all out.  Best of luck to you.
