I’m so lost

I was diagnosed with genital herpes earlier this week and my boyfriend is accusing me of cheating. He has no symptoms and I have only been with him for the past two years. I’m so lost on how could this happen and I’m trying to deal with all the pain and trying to get back to normal.

I had it (with no symptoms) for over 10 years before I was diagnosed via blood test. It's very possible that he has it and has no symptoms. If you got it from him, I would be willing to bet that his IGG numbers would be high, indicating past exposure, and his IGM would be low to none, indicating no recent exposure.

Or, it could be the other way. You may have had it for years with no symptoms, and your numbers could be high. 

It doesn't mean that anyone cheated. It could mean that one or both of you already had it and just didn't know. The majority of those who have it don't know.
