  1. Your partner can  be infected with this virus through oral sex. You had experience in dealing with the virus, so you can help him. For oral herpes, topical cream like Prosurx, Acyclovir, or Valtre can help. Some ointments and home remedies, like lip balm, tea tree oil, honey, and coconut oil are effective.

  2. HSV in throat seems isn't very common. But if you experienced it, you should boost your immune system to reduce outbreaks. Besides taking Valtrex, it's important to strengthen your immunity by getting enough nutrients. However, HSV in throat may cause difficulties to eat, so you should take small bites of food and drink more water. Also, avoid foods and drinks that cause irritation in your throat.

  3. avoid tell him about herpes immediately, but don't wait to tell him after sex.  Depends on the intimacy of your relationship, you should pick the right time to tell him about it. Keep in mind that a close atmosphere and open conversation are important to make you feel confident to tell. Let him know herpes is a very common infection, and it can be preventable. Best wishes for you

  4. This virus can still be spread even though it has no sore. Because he is contracted with genital HSV1, unprotected vaginal or anal sex can put you at risk of getting this virus. Kissing is , too. Things you need are to

    - boost the immune system by lysine rich foods

    - take lysine or bulletproof+ supplement

    - abstain from sex if having some early signs of herpes outbreaks

    - always perform protected sex

    - Avoid stress or other triggers to reduce which can activate the virus

    - receive treatments: take Acyclovir, Valacyclovir medications, apply some topical creams like Prosurx or Abreva. You can ask your doctor for suppressive therapy in case you suffer more than 6 outbreaks a year

Hope these can be useful for you and your partner

My BF is HSV positive. I got this from him. Not a risk that I agreed to. He gets cold sores and didn’t know I could get it through oral, so it wasn’t something he really talked much about. I didn’t realize any of this until my first OB 2.5 weeks ago. Why me!? I catch myself laughing and enjoying myself like any other time and then I remember my situation and it takes my smile away.

have you received any treatment for it? Although herpes isn't treatable completely, treatments help control herpes symptoms and prevent it from coming back. Hope you feeel better and try to think positive, you can still love and be loved, so don't worry

  6. don't worry. Many people with herpes infections still have a normal life. Antiviral medications will help you relieve the severtity of herpes infections and prevent it from coming back. Besides, the good news is herpes outbreaks can be reduced over time. Things you need now are:

    - receive treatment: antiviral medicines or topical creams

    - reduce stress

    - think positively

    - eat more lysine foods

    - tell with your partner and ask him to get tested

  7. Although you make effort to control stress, it's always around you and trigger the virus. You may get stress because of job, family troubles or other relationships. Sharing your stress and troubles with your trusted people is the effective way to reduce stress. I used to develop some herpes outbreaks, but I didn't try many things like you. I only applied prosurx cream. I'm unsure how it works for you, but it works well for me. Then, I took lysine supplement for several months. And now, I can control herpes outbreaks with diets and healthy routines. Hope these are  useful. Best wishes for you.

  8. hi janeen

The number of herpes outbreak can be reduced over years. As long as you keep healthy lifestyle, eat more lysine food, manage stress and think positively, you'll have less herpes recurrences. Have you ever tried FDA creams to treat herpes? I can remove herpes sores and prevent the virus from coming back by using it. Also, I try to limit  coffee, beer and packaged food intake. Instead, I pay more attetion to lysine and vitamin foods. Hope you can control herpes outbreaks.
