[Prolonged Prodrome?]

I was diagnosed with HSV1 four months ago. No outbreaks since the initial one. I’ve been on valcyclovir since the initial. 
 

Since the first outbreak, I’ve had two occasions where I felt tingling near my vagina for a few days, which I assumed was prodrome.... but no outbreak came.  No big deal though, it came and went. 
 

I started feeling tingling fourteen days ago and it won’t go away. No other symptoms. No lesions.
 

How do I know if this is even prodrome?

Can prodrome last for two weeks? 

Does this mean I’m contagious? 

Should I be investigating if it’s actually something else? 
 

I can’t find any answers that are based in science and fact.
