It just really angers me that this disease is used to destroy other people for money . Rape yes punish I agree but the disease is something separate from that. The guys who use roofies to rape unsuspecting young women should go to jail. If they also pass along Herpes they can pay for medical too so I agree with Aimee on that but I also need to point out that there are other things far more scary than getting herpes just to keep things in prospective. This technique was very useful to me when I got it years ago.

This is not the aimee only web site and I believe that I am helping others cope with herpes as I have dealt with it for over 25 years. I believe that you are implying that I need help as a form of shrugging me off as some kind of luny. There are only about 5 people even using this system so I responding to them as well.

You implied that I was a sociopath (same as direct name calling in my book) and I believe you are the one who is hot and cold if you look at your last responses to mine. You infer my remarks as a criticism of you but I always tried to infer a third person not you. So when you escalate the tone to call me names I do the same. I will not be intimated by your rage against men as I believe there are many men who have been destroyed by lying women in bed as the reverse. The guy your mad at is pathetic but we are on a public board and my remarks are designed with that in mind not specific to you.

Look Aimee. I didn't have the law or courts on my side when it happened to me and even if I did it was going to be a He said She said deal that would only enrich the lawyers. The fact that your jerk admitted to what he did at least gives him some credit. He could have lied his way through the whole process.

Who are you to call me a sociopath you self-righteous b#### er I mean hypocrit. You think you are the only one to get herpes while intoxicated. I got herpes from some C@@@ that did not want to tell me she had it even though I asked her. I was 25 then and I learned my lesson so I stopped taking those kind of risks. Another time I was drugged before a business deal so I stopped accepting drinks unless I saw where it came from and so on and so forth. I was raised a strict catholic and therefore did not believe in the idea of sex without the eventual plan of getting married etc. Once I realized the predatory nature of certain women my guard went up against them. Since this board seems to filled with primarily women raging about crappy men I thought that a mans experience in the reverse would be usefull.
If you are only want opinions that agree with yours then you should open an invitation only board and you can allow in only people that agree with you.

They might have a lot more than herpes. They might have a cancer gene waiting to wake up next week and give them leukemia then they would wish that all they had was herpes.

well that's because the truth can be very cruel and insensitive. Truth is there may be other viruses being passed around from people you slept with we don't know about.
Truth is we murder millions of animals everyday for food. Our Gov murders innocent people every day without a trial because somebody says they are terrorists. The very rich pay very little or no taxes. The prisons are filled with guys who commited crimes that are considered legal in other states or countries. The medical profession is filled with fraudulent kickbacks to doctors to prescribe drugs that do more damage than good, etc etc
Until we get personnally hurt or benefit from injustice most of us don't really give a damn enough to do more than just talk about it at the dinner table. Not trying to be negative just honest.
and BTW I know you don't give a crap about me since I am just some guy with an alias who has pressed some of your emotional buttons.

You seem like a smart lady and I have enjoyed our little chit chat. Smart women like you are very sexy in my opinion. I have two beautiful young daughters in college and I would kick the shit out of any guy who gave them herpes, But I would do it in a back alley so I didn't have to deal with the frickin lawyers and courts.

Herpes in a few years will be in your rear view mirror and you wont even think about it more than once or twice a year. I got it real bad in 85 and thought my life was over but it obviously wasn't.

The guy does sound like a weak, spineless, prick but sense way can't hear his side of the story and only rely on what aimee says I would say nuke em based on what has been said so far.
BTW
I am getting tired of the "manning up" expression that only comes from women. Is there an equivalent expression for women? Negative expressions for women are numerous but there is nothing equivalent except for lady-like or classy that I can think of regarding the positive "manning up" expression. How about womaning up?

There is radiation from Japan killing the pacific ocean that will lead to thousands of new cases of cancer for those that depend on it etc. Japan is lying about it. We should sue them for that.
I have been lied too about herpes, boyfriends, financial stuff etc. Yes I get angry too but Herpes as far as my experience is only an issue for a couple of years and then it starts fading away.

You are right. Herpes is no longer an issue for me. That was over many years ago. Obviously it did not have the effect on me like you. I didn't have to worry so much about the stigma or lying because it was out in the open even then. But this is San Francisco and AIDs was an epidemic so everybody slowed down here and got serious about their life styles.. We all started asking if you had herpes etc. It turned that the women had it more than the men.
My comment about the lawsuits was tongue in cheek but is only because I am so tired of seeing the courts used solve problems that should be resolved between reasonable people. This litigious society is killing the country.

as usual I assumed a different situation before reading your whole story.
For myself I am in SF CA. STD capital of the US and got it back in 87
which curtailed my very active sex life dramatically and forced me to rethink my relationships. Got angry depressed etc. but then I was too busy competing for the Olympics and making money to worry about it too much. Most of my friends got it too and also their wives. Met the wife in 88. Wife had it too so no big deal. As far as the virus for me it started ebbing away after a couple of years and now only shows up under extreme stress for about three days and that hasn't happened for almost 4 years. If its the lying that bothers you so much then maybe this might explain a few things.
What is the difference between women and men? Cut and paste the link and see how uncomplicated we men are.

BTW my polish is bad because I am a lousy typist, an electrical engineer, and do not like to beat around the bush.
Is the stigma worse now? That's hard to believe.
As far as Aimee is concerned she has huge anger issues which are not hard to trigger based on how she got it. She thinks I am picking on her which I am not but does her actions set an example to everyone else. Should we all arrest and sue the person who gave it to us? Maybe by pointing out a lot more serious problems we can keep the Herpes thing in prospective an.d they would alleviate some of the pain
Compared to herpes the one of 30 mil people who died of the Spanish flu in 1921 because they were near somebody who sneezed on a train seems like a lot more traumatic exp. to me.
