[Sun as a trigger for herpes outbreaks]

I once got a second degree sunburn on my face, where I subsequently had my first outbreak of cold sores in that area. Now, every time I get a sunburn, the virus attacks, but only if I have a burn. It is definitely one of my triggers for cold sores.

I was irresponsible and slept with someone twice without disclosing my condition (HSV2). I broke it off and told him. He now has severe knee pain, to the point he can barely walk. He blames me and wants me thrown in jail. He is certain it's herpes and that I've ruined his life. I don't know what to do, or if it's even possible for this to happen and so quickly. I don't know what to say to him or how to handle his anger towards me. Is it even possible, especially given the ultra-low possibility of transmission, for this to be happening?
