Ok thank you for your response it really helps and is less worrying to have some clarification on this. Alongside the symptoms of a burning sensation I had stomach pains, fever and sickness last night...all of which seem to have subsided thankfully. This did seem similar to my first outbreak although I have yet to see any sores so will monitor that and like you suggest it may just be the prodrome symptoms and I will try not to worry any further.

Hi there I've been diagnosed 8 months ago and after my initial outbreak I haven't had any further outbreaks. I'm now feeling like I have an aching pain in my groin and it's slightly burning sensation in my genitals at times. Am I experiencing prodrome sensations which may be leading to an outbreak? What I've read suggests these symptoms can happen and if so how long should I experience them as it's been feeling like this for a couple of days now?
