  1. Thanks, Adrial. BTW ... this site is great. I've never seen anything as informative, honest and supportive.
  2. Getting into specifics now… I used a condom during vaginal intercourse. It didn’t break. After the intercourse was done, I took the condom off. After taking the condom off, I wiped down my penis with a handy wipe. So I touched the outside of the condom and then touched my penis. The area of my penis affected by vitiligo and lichen sclerosus is near the tip of the penis. Can herpes survive on a condom surface after intercourse? Could I have “wiped” herpes onto any mucous membranes? I know I can’t have true peace of mind until I get a blood test, but I have to wait until June for that.
  3. So I have an Anatomy 101 question … Where are the male mucous membranes in the genital area? From what I read online, it’s only the penis glans (i.e. head of the penis), while others seem to be saying it’s the whole thing right down the shaft. Also, does anyone know if male vitiligo or male lichen sclerosus (I have both) makes the male more likely to give or get herpes?
  4. Yes, it does. Thanks Adrial. By the way ... how long do symptoms (like thigh pain) supposed to last?
  5. I am a male. 35 years old. Last STI panel was December 2013. I tested negative for everything. On March 10, I had sex with unknown female partner with unknown herpes status. I used a condom. Afterward, I started to develop pain in my front thighs. It was a dull pain. Felt a little like I worked out too much, but it didn’t hurt too bad. I had another STI panel on March 20. I tested negative for everything. I’ve also seen two doctors who have examined me and have found no sign of any herpes outbreak. The pain has lingered a little, though. It is now more than a month later and I still feel this dull, but consistent, pain. I know herpes may not show up on any blood tests for up to 3 months. Is it possible to have symptoms of herpes but not have it show up on test until later?
