Thank u.. my bf and i are wantin to try and have a baby and i was recently diagnosed with hsv1 and he mentioned he had fever blisters wen he was little so im assumin he has hsv1 and gave it to me genitally by oral sex . He said he hasnt had one since he was little and were gonna start taking vitamins to help with trying to concieve. L arginine is recommended for both of us and especially for men.. he has high blood pressure and its also suppose to help with that so i wld still like to give him l arginine in 1000 mg a day ..i jus dnt want it to do anything

I was looking up vitamins to take when trying to concieve and for men it says to take l-arginine and it says it may cause herpes outbreak but it only says that under the mens part not on womens.. does anyone know anythinh about if l-arginine will cause outbreaks

My dr put me on valacyclovir 500mg once a day. Is this a good and successful medicine and will this keep my obs to a minimum ?

Well yesterday last night a couple hours after i posted this he informed me he had cold sores when he was real young but he said thats herpes simplex its different... which all makes sense now... he is very uninformed abt herpes and how it works .. i jus kinda froze for a minute.. i said then i got genital herpes because u performed oral sex on me... which at first thats all we did and alot of it... i wish he wldve tild me this before but im not mad or upset it isnt his fault he is misinformed abt how herpes works.. he thought just because it was cold sores it wasnt actuall herpes and he wldnt have given it to me since he aint had one since he was little and he never really thought abt it.. i said cold sores or genital sores its all herpes and yes u can pass it from mouth to genital and genital to mouth... wen i asked him to go to my dr he seemed reluctant like he didnt want someone else knowin his business but i thank its because he already knows now he probably gave it to me and didnt even realize he could... we need to keep informin as much as we can abt how herpes works and what exactly it is... i felt kinda let down at first wen he said that but i have it and nothin can change it and i really do love and care abt him and i wanna stay with him and try and have a baby ... he was very misinformed growin up and i feel like best thing to do is jus let it go... but i could use some tips on somethin... my dr said hsv1 is oral and genital herpes and ny first ob was genital and she said its possible i cld have an ob on my mouth which is scarin the heck outta me.. is it likely i will or since mine was genital will it stay down there

I went to the dr today and she gave me a printout of my results from when i found out i was h+ and it showed hsv1+ and hsv2- .... so idk if thats a good ot bad thing or if it means anything but i also decided to go ahead and do a full blood test for all the other stds and i took a urine test to see if ny chlamydia is gone which ill have to wait on those results.. and my bf got told by his dr he cldnt get a herpes test unless he was havin an ob (one of my other discussions) but i told my dr abt it and she said i cld bring him up there and she wld have a blood test done on him. So i got all that settled lol now jus gotta make an appt.

Im h+ and my bf went to the dr today to get tested and he told the dr i had it and they told him they cldnt test him unless he had an ob.... ?!?!? That dnt make sense

Ok thanks so much... cuz he is gettin tested for h and chlamydia tomorrow and i wanted to kno if his wld be accurate that soon. So many things to think abt with h lol its sneaky

My dr did a swap on me and thats how i was diagnosed with h on the 20th of may... but id like to have a blood test to figure out my exact type and i was wonderin what time frame it wld be accurate...?? I was also wonderin abt my bfs testin ? Idk if he had it first and gave it to me or if i may have given it to him? He hasnt had an ob but abt two weeks after our first time havin sex i had my first ob . Ive never had anything like it before until me and him became intimate. But he has a dr appt this week to test for it and i have read on a few posts something about after a few months or somethin thats wen a blood test will be accurate and say i gave it to him and that wldve only been a month ago we were first intimate wen he has a blood test to see if he is h+ will it be accurate.. if he gave it to me than it will be accurate but if i gave it to him then it wasnt long ago he cldve come into contact with h cuz our first time havin sex was around mid april...hope my question isnt confusin lol

I tested h+ the 20th of may and me and my bf havent done anything up until last night... he hasnt been tested yet but he has a dr appt this tuesday to be tested ... we cldnt have full blown sex because i also had chlamydia (however u spell it) .. i took all the antibiotics for it and now im waitin to go back to dr to be sure its all clear.. but we simply jus touched each other done there and it became so intense it blew both our minds.. to not actually have penetration full blown sex but to jus touch each other and it become so intense and passionate... i have to admit after not doin anything for tht long it was super exciting and i loved every minute so did he lol... its amazin how u dnt realize how u can be intimate without havin sex... h has made me try to find new ways to be intimate considerin he hasnt been tested and we cldnt chance anything yet... i feel like i have more assurance that he still wants me intimately and im not dirty or he isnt scared to touch me lol i did say in my head i hope i dnt have an outbreak lol but i only thought abt tht once and then it was jus crazy lol... i am a little tender vaginally but i feel like thats normal cuz i was slightly dry at first and i always get tender after somethin happenin down there... i definetly have to invest in some ky lol...i am slightly scared ill have an ob cuz i was a lil dry wen he touched me and im tender now but im hopin its all in my head..... ive slowly started doin things again i was scared to after i found out i was h+ like shavin down there and me and him touchin each other lol... im still trying to find new ways to become intimate without actual sex but at least im trying... lol
