  1. Recently my girlfriend has been tested for hsv. Her first test came back positive, she went for a retest came back negative and for a 3rd retest she came back positive once again for hsv 1. We have been together and having unprotected sex for a year and 6 months and I have not contracted anything. I have been tested twice in the past 6 months being negative both times, most recently in the past month. I'm really not the luckiest person in the world so my mind is blown at how I could not have contracted hsv as well. She claims to have never had an outbreak of any kind. With no signs of an outbreak I do not know when it would be safer to be intimate with her, I'm so confused. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
