  1. This may be completely false but I gave h2 and I take valtrex and Lysine for mine. Hypothetically speaking of course if you were having sex with someone who is H- do you think them taking a lysine prior to intercourse would some what protect them from transmission? It acts like a natural antiviral so I was just wondering if that could add as another form of protection to them along with condoms and me taking antivirals. I would like to do everything possible to protect a partner from this so I was just curious.
  2. @ihaveittoo i still eat chocolate anyways. It's not something I can live without lol. White chocolate is a bit better for it bc its not actually chocolate idt. Thank you @wiwino ! @YogaJ12 Thanks, I have been wanting to try yoga. Guess now would be the perfect time huh. Also is tree tea oil available over the counter?
  3. Okay so I have HSV-2 and I just found one sore down there this am. I try to exercise frequently and I haven't had an ob since my initial diognosis, my question is i do heavy cardio and I am worried that it will some how worsen my ob with heavy friction im worried it could spread or not heal as fast bc of it. I wanted to know other peoples experience with this because i enjoy working out but i don't necessarily want to have to wait for it to go away before i can exercise again. Also what is the best way to speed up the healing process for sores preferably a natural in-expensive way i can not afford the valtrex cream.
  4. I've been taking both for about a week now and it has helped a little with the itch. I still get some itchy though. I'm going to really try to cut out all the sugar, peanut butter, and chocolate (my three favorite things in life
  5. Thanks guys! You have been very helpful
  6. @forgivenessandpeace thanks! I think I'm going to try taking my valtrex and a little bit of lysine and see if it helps. After all what do i have to lose.
  7. Hello. I have hsv2 and have been taking antivirals for a while now. From what I have come to understand is that Lysine helps prevent outbreaks for people who aren't taking antivirals I eat a lot of nuts and chocolate and things containing high quantities of arginine which can trigger outbreaks and I feel that has contributed to the itchy feeling i frequently get. So what im wondering is if taking a daily dose of lysine along with antivirals would be safe or if it would make it worse. I don't want to overdue it and I'm trying to cut back on those arginine filled foods but i thought it might kind of help level out my lysine and arginine ratio.
  8. @WCSDancer2010 thankyou so much
  9. Hello, I'm new to this site and new to hsv2. I was diognosed with hsv2 about 3 months ago and knock on wood since my first most miserable outbreak I have only had one since. I've been on antivirals since I found out and I'm slowly starting to accept my fate and the complications that come along with it. Spending time on this site has helped me with accepting it for what it is and realizing hsv2 is not the end of the world. I'm not going to let this change me or define who I am. And im so thankful for this site. It offers me some relief knowing others go through the same thing. I haven't told many people just my mom a close friend and a guy i was seeing for a bit.. Needless to say we haven't spoken since. On the bright side that was the first time I was able to open up and disclose it to someone about it. If i can get past that I can get past anything i think. Sorry I'm ranting but I did initially have a question. Like i said since I found out i haven't had many outbreaks but I know that herpes is contagious when it's "shedding". I experience mild itching regularly and I don't get any bumps. I was wondering if that could mean it's shedding and if i should sustain from sex? Is there something I could be doing to cause this?
