Hey all. Just about over my first ob of HSV below the belt! A few days ago i started to notice tiny white bumps on my face. No pain, no itch, no syptoms but theres several. I did start a Lysine supp a few days ago along with the quick clear capsules. Not sure if the virus spread to my face or im having an allergic reaction. Any have these? Thanks. I also should mention i had a few beers last night so i imagine that didnt help!

So, it sees every time I take my anti viral meds, I start itching on my face and parts of my body. At first I freaked out thinking I was having another ob, but nothing surfaced. Is this a normal reaction to the meds. Nothing visible, no pain...just itch and i lasts for about an hour or two.

I just started using tree tea oil and aloe so we'll see. I already ordered my Alum and L-Lysine supplements so we ll see how that works.

You are an amazing person Dancer. You are by far the "rock" for many around here. Being you've had this for so long it's comforting to know your life (home/work/play) are unnaffected. I hope to get to that point as im only 38 with two wonderful kids. If i may ask, how have you learned to manage your ob and what do you use to fight it off when u feel it coming on. I imagine since you've it for so long you rarely get them.

Everything is just crappy now. HSV, recently divorced to an unfaithful spouse...Trying to wonder what I did to deserve this. I was an amazing husband, provider and father. Yet this still happened. Now I feel tarnished and am trying to wrapy head around this.

So my doc said the test didnt break down numbers or what strand. HMO for ya! I told him the story and he believes its hsv1 based on timing and the fact my gf ex has it. My doc did say there really no difference between 1 and 2 other than location. both get treated with anti virals. He was was overly optimistic that my outbreaks will likely be far and few. I hope hes right. Curious, once you first OB went away, how long was until your next one? Also did you go back to feeling yoyr normal self went te virus went dormant? Thanks

I was told I have HSV....no strain. The doctor called it the "below the belt" kind. I'm not too sure well the medical world is up to date on the fact that HSV-1 can go "below the belt." I'm seeing my PCP today to get a bit more clarity. My gf's ex knows he has HSV-1. At this point the math is adding up. Also, when should she get tested. I'm reading that blood tests are not reliable if the virus is dormant.

Thanks for the replys. I was with my gf last night and we had a long talk about this. Come to find out, her ex had HSV-1 and was always breaking out. She told me she has yet to break out but says they were intimate even with outbreaks. She sais she tried to avoid kissing him during an out break but there were times oral sex was give. So, i think I have my answer. She feels terrible. I told im not mad. For my first ob, its somewhat manageable. Just lots of itching, mild pain but i feel lucky ive had no fever and mild body aches. Its just a shock to see my junk covered in soars. wow. Im going on about 11 days of this ob. scabs are starting to fall off. I hope it goes dormat for a very long time

My story: I was married for over 10yrs to woman who gave two wonderful kids and my years of happiness. That all turned when my then wife had an affair in our last year of marriage. I've since left and divorced her. After leaving and establishing my my new life, I ended meeting an amazing women who story was identical to mine. Our chemistry was unmatched and after a couple weeks we began a sexual relationship. About 6-7 days after our intimacy began is when i noticed my first visible soar and swollen lymph nodes in the groin. I went to the doc who chalked it up to Folliculitis. Needless the say the soars spread and the anti bacteria meds weren't working. I went back and alas HSV. I was in disbelief. My ex wife and i never had any STD's and were tested before we married. The gal i was with after my divorce told me she has never had any issues with soars or herpes. How the hell did I get this then? Could my current girlfriend had this for all these years and never known due no symptoms? I'm not trying to blame this on her, but I've read so much that I your first outbreak (like mine) is a big there is a high liklyhood that I contracted with from her being sex started just a week before. SO....my mind is going crazy. My groin itches and I'm going on day 10 of this initial outbreak. Any advise on what supplements to take. I'm on the anti viral already? I've read about vitamin E, tree oil etc. Any help would be great. My head is still spinning.
