I have it orally. From the comments made by my GF afterwards I think she knew she was putting me at risk which seems very reckless behaviour to me. I agree about the education, or lack of it :(

I'm 55 and not in great health. To be honest I had enough going badly medically without getting HSV1. My feelings are clouded at the moment, I don't understand why she did no tell me about her HSV1. I would not have judged her, I would just have been more careful. I have read the guides thanks.

I've known my knew girlfriend for months but had sex with her for the first time recently. After a few days, she had a cold sore - she then told me she had herpes, bought some cold sore covers, told me I'd be fine and carried on kissing me. I knew little about herpes and I trusted her. I now have herpes and have been ill. I'm annoyed that she didn't tell me about it and that she gave me herpes - should I forgive her?
