  1. Heh thanks for all your comments! H totally is a strange virus! TBH I tend not to get bad OB never in any pain haven't taken any painkillers now but not always I take anti virals to help speed up healing think im quite lucky in that sense but they are popping up in different places and regularly its a pest but I suppose that's the nature of H. Thanks for all you comments this site is a life line to me keeps me informedxx
  2. Hi when I was diagnosed a Swab was taken from my left side where I had an out break. My out breaks have typically been at the left not always on the same places. Now I have another out break but is on the right hand side which I haven't noticed before. I was diagnosed March 2014( I had symptoms of outbreaks we'll before being diagnosed but just never realised). Does anyone else expeiance this I know you can auto inoculate but since this out break is on a new area and I have had herpes for a while now I thought I would have some antibodies to help with autoinoculation. I don't typically get bad out breaks maybe one or two spots they don't cause me any pain maybe this is because of where the out breaks show up but I do get out breaks regularly. Thanks in advance x
  3. Hi everyone! This site has been amazing for me and has helped me understand herpes more and I thank you all for that but I still have some concerns. Sorry if this post is long winded it's taken me ages to pluck the courage up to write it!! I was diagnosed with genital herpes last March I'm not sure what type. I'm married and we have two kids I was diagnosed a few years after having my last child. Since being diagnosed I feel like a petri dish and having herpes makes me feel very anxious having children that I spread it to my girls like if I take them swimming and they brush past me or if I don't wash my hands properly after I use the toilet and I have an outbreak and I then bath my kids (which Is very unlikely as i am so futher with my hand washing that I feel it's becomming an obsession). I just in general feel contagious all the time which I know sounds ridiculous. I know a lot of what I'm feeling is down to anxiety I just want to feel like a normal person again. I'm a loving mummy and just want to cuddle my baby's without feeling scared to. Any advice would be appreciated. I have had lots of outbreaks since being diagnosed which don't seem to cause me any pain I just seem to get a thrush like feeling. Before being diagnosed I had sores but just never realised putting it down to shaving rashes. I was taking valtrex for 6 months and had no outbreaks and I was more relaxed but then the Dr wanted me to stop the valtrex to see how my body would react only treating outbreaks when I got one and within a week of stopping the valtrex I got another out break and get one at least once a month.Ive started taking lysine which seems to be helping along with vitd3 and a multivitamin with a probiotic. I have a few questions. 1. I get a strange buzzing in my lips ( I don't have cold sores and never have) and I get a buzzing in my back does anyone else experience this? 2. For the last 4 years I have had slight bleeding after intercourse which is now going to be investigated with a colposcopy. I have had normal smears. Has anyone else experienced this sort of bleeding and I wondered if it could be linked to the herpes? 3. I was diagnosed by having a swab taking from one site which I haven't had another outbreak in that area since. I get out breaks regularly in another site but my last outbreak was in another place but cleared up very quickly. Is this the norm as I thought outbreaks tend to pop up in the same place? Thanks any advice would be appreciate X
