Another update!! Its back!! This time seems to be vagina only fissures / papercuts. When I went to doc on Tuesday it was all clear. I had a very stressful anxious day yesterday and boom I saw some blood and felt the pain down yonder this morning. Visually verified its back. Going back to another three day of valacyclovir. Just updating so if another person in my situation finds this they know what's up.

Wanted to update - everything is clear! I used bactine, Epsom salt bath, etc. I had a three day of acyclovir or whatnot and by the end of that three day cycle I had nothing left. It was purely papercuts and did not bubble thank god! I'm so happy to be over with this horrible first outbreak. Hopefully long term suppressants will not allow it to happen again. It was rough!

Oh thats why I couldnt find anything here about it!! It is indeed paper cut style. Does anyone get a mix? My dr said papercuts are the first part of the outbreak, and I'm under the impression the sores come right after. I'll search paper cut and see if anyone has written about it!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I got hsv1 while pregnant after my immune system was battered on my cervix. Ive always had it on my mouth. My husband of two years gave it to me down yonder not knowing the 'pimples' he sometimes got were hsv1. I probably never got it before due to my cold sore immunity. So the initial outbreak was on the cervix signalled by blood yellow mucus coming from there and of course thats not normal for pregnancy, so they did the test for herpes and of course it came up HSV 1. husband also tested for hsv1 and we found the lesions which are hsv1. I thought everything was going well, I didn't have any more cramping or bleeding from the cervix. But then I went in today and it turns out there are fissures on my vagina ( I had noticed some fresh blood when I wiped for past few days which I blamed on anal fissure or something) which means that hsv-1 has moved from the cervix to my vagina. the doctor said this is an early sign of an outbreak and put me back on the valacyclovir which I was on before which seemed to clear up the cervix problem. Have any of you had this issue? Did the fissures turn into blisters? I get very bad cold sores and I get them very often and I am dreading getting them on my vagina. From some research that I did the fissures are a second outbreak indicator so maybe there were sores on the cervix and hopefully be vagina will only get fissures? I'm trying to find anything I can about fissures and herpes fissures. They look like long thin paper cuts they are sporadic there's no cluster. they bleed occasionally.anyone?

And all that while I'm happily married abstinent before that! 27 years I waited and two years later o caught it from my lowered immune system!

Its very very obvious. I assume it would cramp if there was a baby in there or not. Doctor was shocked mine was a terrible first outbreak. Even coughing was making the lesions burst and bleed mor.

@whitedaisies First was yellow tinted thicker mucus followed by the same but with blood. The blood would collect at night and come out substantially in the morning. By evening ut was yellow mucus again. I am pregnant so blood isnt supposed to come out at all. It also caused contractions and cramping in that area. The cramping and contractions have both eased since the outbreak seems to be easing up (I am on meds!)

Thank you for the follow up and explanation. I'll also follow up! I finally found the outbreak on husbands junk tip area. Its very very easy to overlook. If I hadn't been looking for it specifically I would have never guessed it was amiss. Very small white/red bumps they didnt follow much of a pattern. This tmi is to show others how easily it can be seen as something else. I provably had seen it before and didnt think twice about it. He said he has been getting them periodically since he was a teenager and thought it was periodic pimples. Penis pimples do happen I want to point out but penis pimples are far more obvious and severe looking than the herpes outbreak near the tip. So the mystery of where is solved. I likely got it from having such a battered immune system when I was just over some infections etc and never before because of my tolerance on my mouth. I go between being fine with it to being disappointed, I waited until marriage to have sex and std fear was a big part of that. Now I have to fight this forever and if its anything like cold sores, which ive always had, it will put a damper on my life once every three months For now until baby I'm on daily suppressive therapy, not sure if that will be true after. It would be cool to not get cold sores or a cervix outbreak due to daily therapy. I'd happily take a pill the rest of my life for that! My cold sores are pretty frequent and painful. I used to take lysine and it would cut the time to only a few days but with pregnancy you cannot take lysine so I was suffering a lot of cold sores these past 30 weeks to their full one week of pain glory. Hope this info helps someone else in the future. I am going to therapy on saturday and will try to deal with my emotional disappointment. Especially because after all at least my husband and I are on the same boat.. But now I feel like it was preventable... Sigh... Also ladies and gentleman please note abstinence does absolutely nothing to keep you std free so if your community is like mine growing up tell them to back off. Imagine I could have actually slept around and probably still had the same thing.. So what was the point to wait all those years?! Ill ask my therapist...

I know this is very old but I just wanted to share that I got cervix based hsv1 and ive had only one sexual partner ever. It has nothing to do with amount of sexual partners!! It only takes one..

I am pregnant to an asymptomatic previously unconfirmed carrier who is my husband. Ive kissed him a million times and he has never had any sores or issues. I perform oral to him when I had no outbreaks and he was fine with that. During pregnancy I had cervical bleeding and pain. It turned out to be hsv1 via swab and blood test. So I got him tested which I just got back. My blood test was hsv1 5.65 igg He tested 6.25 igg for hsv1 Both do not have hsv2 and again he has never had a breakout genitally and mine is solely on my cervix (I'm in the midst of the first genital breakout and it is the pits) but not on vagina. Ive had cold sores right before the blood test also. Could this have been passed from my mouth to his penis to my cervix or traelled through in my time of extremely low immunity? (I had a bladder infection and uti right before the breakout- I was on antibiotics for almost a month they misdiagnosed it the first time...) How does this affect our life going forward? Can I give him genital somehow from my cervix? Or assuming he has it and is asymptomatic based on blood results and the fact he never had a breakout... Let me know Two things.. He is my only sexual partner ever. He was std tested at the beggunung of our sexual relationship and came clear but I know they didnt test for herpes if there was no outbreak. Could I have given it to myself ? Could he have carried it over three years with no symptoms? I dont really know!!! I'm confused. Its also very very dangerous to my baby and I'm on high risk alert etc. Baby is 30 weeks.
