  1. I've been experiencing the following symptoms for almost 2 months now and I am not sure if what I have is herpes or not. Almost 8 weeks ago I had unprotected sex. Two days later, I developed a cottage cheese discharge and a slight discharge and I knew I had a yeast infection. However my menstrual cycle came and it seem to have cleared up. Two weeks after sexual contact, I developed a very mild burning sensation inside of my vagina that would come and go throughout the day and decided it would be best if I were to go get tested. I got tested and had negative results for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV. I also had a transvaginal exam done to look for any cold sores blisters etc. and they found nothing. However, for the last three weeks I have also been experiencing a tingling sensation that comes and goes throughout the day as well. It is more pronounced whenever I think about it. Also, the burning sensation is more likely to start up after I urinate, but does not occur every time. I decided to go back to get retested, and they did another chance vaginal exam. Still no sores, blisters, reddening of the skin, anything. I am still experiencing the symptoms to this day, almost 8 weeks later. Is it possible that what I have sounds like herpes, or maybe it be something else? Also, whats the best way to get tested? From what I have read, a lot of factors can cause a herpes test to be inaccurate!
