Ok, so I'm dating a girl who was married for 16years with a guy who has genital herpes outbreaks twice a year she said. She also said that she hasn't had one outbreak in that time and still hasn't. Needless to say I had unprotected sex with her. What's the odds that I will get it?? Any help is appreciated, because Not sure here..

ok, so I notice my first sore inside mouth Monday morning.. it's spread to a few places Tuesday and Wednesday inside mouth. at what point does it stop spreading and start healing??? shouldn't I be getting ready for the healing point soon, as I'm going on day 6! just a little concerned it's going to spread to outside lip, then the explaining will have to come.. I tell ya tho, the waiting is the hardest part, because I keep waiting for the other shoe to fall, as in I have this burning still in corner of lip! I don't see anything developing, but it feels like it's drying out, could be from all the saltwater tho.. I would like to think I'm in the healing stage as this is day 5 of noticing first sore inside mouth..

ok... so i hear that the primary in some can often happen inside the mouth. thats what appears to be happening to me. I've been washing out with salt water, applying abreeva and taking valtrex since yesterday. I don't have any sores developing on the outside of the mouth and I have been experiencing sores since Monday. I do feel a burning sort of on the corner of my mouth close to a blister on the inside. but that could be because i just washed out with saltwater? I guess, i'm just trying to figure out when i may be in the clear from having an ob on the outside of my lips. yes, i'm aware that it is becoming a socital norm, but i will still have A LOT of explaining to do with friends and family. it sounds a lot like legits story, but like i said, i do feel a burning in the corner of my lip at moment, but an ob outsitde would have taken place by now, right??. Any thoughts are very welcome!!! cuz, notsurehere

Seems like I've read where oral herpes outbreaks can start inside the mouth first quite often.. Anyone know why that is? Or is that typically not the way it starts? Thanks

Thank you both for some great information.. I got a prescription for valtrex today, even though I'm not certain. I will say it looks like the sores have spread some in my cheek, counting about 3 now. roof of mouth is kinda yellow, but thats normal from drinking who knows what right?? anyway, i do have another question regarding this.. If these ulcers,herpes whatever started in my mouth at day 4 of initial contact, and I'm now on day 3 of noticing first blister(7days after kiss) inside mouth. What stage am I on??? I know it's all pretty confusing, but I feel like I'm waiting for blisters to appear on my lips and not sure if there's a time frame is. Seems like I heard somewhere 7days?? I kissed a girl with a active fever blister, she told me it was nothing, that the sun causes them on occasion. 4days later I have one main sore on the inside of my cheek and another one that looks like is developing beside it. Now I suppose I could have bit my cheek at nite, but sounds like too much of a coincedence, being 4days later, plus I don't recall biting my cheek in the middle of night. I have two questions, one, does this sound like oral herpes? I'm going on day 3 of noticing symptoms and still have not developed any cold sores or blisters on the outside of my lip?? Does this mean I'm asymptomatic? Will I get blisters on my lip? Thanks all!
