I have been tested recently and I'm low risk. I probably get the test in 4 months and if the steriods make it worse I will have a culture done.

This guy has had alot of patients with it, and was a gyno. And if the steriods exacerbate the issue then I would get a second opinion. But he indicated it was likely an allergic reaction.

Blood test would be too early and they don't do the culture there. I was examined and with all of the details it seemed highly unlikely that it was.

Doc indicated that based on the sudden onset of symptoms it was highly unlikely coupled with the other factors of the symptoms and the incident. Apparently herpes is prevalent here and he has seen it alot. He prescribed a steroid cream, what I read is herpes doesn't like steriods and would get worse so even if he is wrong it should show either way, by clearing up and proving him right or getting worse and in a way diagnosing itself

I'm going to the doc tomorrow I just wasn't sure if you could just get sores in the genital area if you had unprotected contact orally. Im just wondering if they would have manifested both places if it is herpes.

I recently went to urgent care for painful urination. The doctor suggested he thought I bruised my urethra and gave me medications for a uti. I have a tendency of getting those but this was way worse. I had had sex with a new partner, unprotected oral sex and regular sex with a condom. I was also on my period and the discomfort made it impossible to wear tampons so I wore a pad. The next day I noticed sores, I am allergic to a lot of things so I kind of assumed it was contact allergies especially since they are not clustered at all and are spread around where the pad was outside. However I have also started having flu symptoms. Today the sores are kind of scabbing over. So based on my understanding of herpes is it possible for me to have missed having mouth sores from the unprotected oral sex and still ended up with vaginal sores even though the condom was used? Or do I just have bad luck and have several things going on scaring me that look like possible herpes?
