  1. Thanks for the post and you are correct. Paranoia has no basis in logic. I suppose part of it may be that I have never done anything like that and feel....guilty or something. I dont know, I guess I refuse to relax and enjoy life. Thanks again for the post.
  2. I just realized how selfish my post sounded. My concern is for both my girlfriend and I. I realize HSV2 would be more likely to have a productive infection on my genitals than my girlfriends mouth. But still I wouldnt want her to have contracted anything either.
  3. Hi all. I am a 35 yo male with oral HSV1. I had my first outbreak when I was 6 weeks old so I have had it my whole life. I have always been very honest with my partners and very careful to avoid kissing or any oral activities. I sometimes may even get a bit paranoid about it which is probably what leads to my most recent concern. A week ago my girlfriend had one of her friends over, we had some drinks and before you know it they decide to see who is the best and I end up receiving oral from both. My concern is that I dont know her friends boyfriend very well. What are the chances of him having genital HSV2 and me contracting it from her while receiving oral? I know oral HSV2 is uncommon and she did not have any oral lesions that I could see but my mind has run rampant with this. Thoughts?
