  1. I have had occasions since I last had sex where my genitals were red, sensitive and it looked like it had blisters from certain angles, but both times it only lasted at most 4 days and wasn't painful. it may or may not have been genital herpes, i'm not sure. I'm living in France so I don't think there is a plan parenthood. The scan would be to see if the palsy is due to a tumor and the blood test is to see if it is due to herpes.
  2. Yes that's right, I haven't been diagnosed, but I assumed I got herpes because I had sex with people I didn't know, got Bell's Palsy and what I think is meningitis, and they say that the main cause for both of those things is Herpes. Also my genitals have been sensitive, red and what looks sort of like blisters, so it all seems to point to it. The blood test was to get diagnosed and the MRI scan was to see if the Palsy was not due to a brain tumor. So yeah, I'm not certain about anything but it seems to me that it is Herpes, there is still a slight possibility that it is something else but I don't have too much money to may for the scan or the blood test, should I take them?
  3. @2Legit2Quit @Sil88 thank you both for responding :P i think i probably have genital herpes but that's just me guessing since i got it in my genitals. yes it is a new infection and yes i'm a generally anxious person (But it's on the mild side rather than a disorder). It's just the paralysis, blurry vision and sensitivity to light and the 5 day headache started to get a bit scary. Also do you have any advice on how to deal with the first OB? i'm trying not to touch it a lot so it doesn't spread to other parts of my body.
  4. I'm worried about all the complications of Herpes, first I got facial palsy, and now I fear I'm having viral Meningitis. I thought i might have Encephalitis but I would probably be dead by now, so I probably have viral Meningitis? I'm also a bit worried of ocular Herpes because I touch my face all the time and I didn't know that it can spread to other body parts. I've had a headache, blurry vision and stiff neck for like 4 days, the last time I went for a checkup to the doctors was when I just had the facial palsy and she told me to get an MRI and a blood test which I haven't done, so that's why I haven't been back, should I go to the doctor like this or since it's probably viral meningitis it will go away on it's own? can it spread to my brain?
  5. Good day everyone, 3 weeks ago was the last time I had sex because 2 1/2 weeks ago I got what I thought may have been Herpes, so I haven't had sex since then. It was just a tingling sensation, a tiny bump, and change in color in some spots of my penis, but it all went away so I wasn't even sure if it was Herpes or not, so I stopped worrying too much because they say the first outbreak is the worst, so if that was it then, maybe I would be mostly OK. BUT today I felt my penis a bit irritated so I checked and there are many bumps on my foreskin and it's red and it looks a lot more like H, I want to go get tested but it will be a couple of days before I can. I don't know if this is my real first outbreak, but I had been reading and they say that the first one occurs within 2 weeks, and I'm at 3. Is it possible for the second outbreak to be a lot worse than the first? Or is it possible to have the first outbreak after 3 weeks or more?
  6. Thank you for responding! I don't recall having a cold sore before and I still haven't, I just have that little tingling spot on my genitals and it's been like that for 3 days. I was waiting to see if it would grow into something worse but it still hasn't. And since they say that oral herpes can be in you genitals I wanted to find out if it is type 1 or 2.
  7. Hi everyone! I'm new to this site and everyone seems really nice so far. I was wondering if you could help me with some questions. (if you don't want to read everything you can just go straight to the questions below). I've only had sex with 4 different men in my life, the first time it was with my 1 month boyfriend, let's just say I found out I'm a little hypocondriac and got like 7/8 symptoms you get after the window period of HIV so I was freaking out, but then I had a test at like 6 weeks, and then another one at 4 months and they both came back negative. Since that little episode, I have been bombarded with things like "one night stands are ok" and "just wear a condom". not only that but the only time i was taught about STDs was in middle school where they showed us pictures of pus coming out of penises and enormous rashes. So I was thinking I'm pretty much safe as long as I wear a condom. Also I tried googling if you need to use condoms during oral and everyone was saying that not really. Thinking this way, the other 3 times I had sex were in this month with different people. I know it may sound crazy, but I thought I was being safe enough and they didn't even eyaculate inside me any of the times. Fast forward to this week, i woke up feeling dizzy and with a weird sensation on my face, which escalated to be Bell's Palsy (Paralysis of half of your face). I tried to google the causes and what came up the most was herpes. Had I known that Herpes was so contagious and incurable I would have been even more careful. I felt terrible and it makes a lot of sense that it is what I have. What scares me the most is that I won't be able to find a partner good enough who will accept me like this. QUESTIONS: I want to know for sure if I have Herpes, and the doctor who diagnosed my Bell's Palsy told me that I should get a blood test, what is the minimum I have to wait to get accurate results? (for example with HIV they say 3 months but everyone also says that 12 weeks works for the vast majority of people. The sites that connect Bell's Palsy and Herpes are sites like WebMD, but I haven't seen any real stories from people, have you experience Bell's Palsy? How was your experience? How long does it take for the bumps to appear after exposure? Some sites disagree a lot, I've seen 2 days, 4 days, 2 weeks, and even moths or years. I've read that Herpes can be itchy in your private areas, but I've also been itchy most of the day in my stomach and other parts of my body, does this mean anything? How long do the bumps take to burst? because i think I do have a really small area that looks bit like the pictures of herpes, but they are too small, and it's been like 3 days like that, when will they turn into blisters? How does the oral and genital herpes thing work? let's say I have oral herpes in my genitals: when the first outbreak ends, the second one will move to my mouth? Thank you so much!!!!
