I am single, dating and just learned a few months ago that I am GHSV1 positive. Disclosure is a must for me but I am wondering if I need to do this before the first kiss? My thought is that having HSV1 genital or oral is the same virus so I can still pass this on to someone through just kissing even though my outbreak was genital. I want to make sure I disclose to any future partners at the appropriate time. Thanks.
