  1. It was IgG. But the last test on dec 4 was technically positive with a 1.11. Even though the last 2 were equivocal
  2. So in both July and October, I got tested for Herpes type 2 and both came out equivocal--last sex encounter was late May or early June. I've never had symptoms I just got tested because why not. I just got tested again on Dec 4th and it came back borderline positive 1.11 My doctor says she cant tell me a definite answer because i have no symptoms and these antibody tests are known to produce a lot of false positives. what should I think of this?
  3. July 30th ish is when i first got tested but last sexual encounter was in early june or late may
  4. at the end of July I went to go get tested for type 2 herpes (without any symptoms) but just for reassurance. The last sexual encounter I had before my bf (who tested negative) who in either late may/early june. My test in july came becak equivocal as .97 and I took it again on Oct 2nd and it came back equivocal again as 1.08...how should I make sense of this? Is it more likely I have it since It's been rising... She recommends I take it AGAIN on December 1st...
  5. Do you think that because my number is in the gray zone that it indicates my body is building the antibodies that are created when you've been infected with herpes?
  6. So I recently went to the doctor for a yeast infection and while I was there I decided to take an STD test, including for herpes. The results given to me by my doctor was positive for type 2 (negative for type 1) until I asked to see the index number--which was .97 (the "gray zone"). I requested to take the same test in 2 months (IGg) Could the yeast infection have affected my numbers? giving me a false "positive" why isn't 0.97 technically negative? Also would it be pointless to take the same test? Should I invest in the westernblot instead?
