Hey ladies I’ve had herpes for a year now. The first outbreak seemed like the end of the world. However after reading everyone else’s stories it turns out mine wasn’t as bad. I had only a few ulcers. 2-3. They popped up when I was going through an extremely stressful time. Valtrex took it away very quickly. I went about 8 months completely OB free. I now notice when I’m stressed out I get a little pimple like sore on top of my vagina. No where near the inside. It only itches a tiny bit and drys up in a few days. It never oozes or hurts. Can this be some sort of OB? I take 500mg daily suppressive & also lysine daily.

No I do not know the strain. I’d like to know. It’s seems to not be as severe as other people’s OB’s. By the time I got into my OBGYN bc she was out for some time, the valtrex my family doc prescribed took it away. She was only able to see slightly where an ulcer was.

I am extremely new to this! I had my first OB a year ago when my boyfriend and I had a breakup. It was the most stressful time of my life. I lost 12lbs laid in bed all day completely depressed. On top of that I got a bad cold. Well at least I thought it was a bad cold. Soon enough I thought I was having a yeast infection from the antibiotics. Then 2 little bumps appears on the one side of my vagina. I went to my family doctor since my OBGYN wasnt infor about 2 more weeks. He prescribed me valtrex which started to clear it up almost immediately. On top of my breakup i had to deal with this. The stress was insane. I couldn’t grasp the fact I have herpes. I hadnent had sex with anyone new. During this time my ex came back into my life and I was terrafied to tell him. Fearing he would think I’m dirty and not want to be with me. My doctor told me I coulda had this for years and all this stress had caused an OB . His reaction was different then I thought. He was surprised but not grossed out or running away. He just said we will deal with it and comforted me. He went and got tested but the dr told him it’s really not worth it since the blood test would only show if he was ever exposed. So he just got tested for everything else, as did myself. Everything else was clear. When everything went away I felt normal and life went on. About 8 months after my first OB I had a little pimple like thing on the top on my vagina. It didn’t bother me, didn’t hurt, or ooze. It just dried up and went away. Now today, recently single. ( not due to me having herpes) I have yet another little pimple like spot in almost the same place. Again, does not bother me. I’m not sure if it’s an OB bc of the stress or what. I do take valtrex 500mg once daily as a precaution. When I google herpes it does not look like anything on the images. This just may be me freaking out over the littlest bump or scratch I have down there. Can anyone help?
