  1. Have you considered that your ex may have contracted it from someone else? Please give yourself a break. Think in terms of, if this same scenario happened to someone else instead of you, would you be this harsh with them? Take care. :)
  2. I could so relate to your post. Thanks for sharing! :)
  3. It sounds like you are making lots of progress in your self knowledge. That's great! Loving yourself will lead to getting the love you deserve from others. Don't think you won't. ;)
  4. Just wanted to say, it's going to be alright. When you are ready to let some light in, the sun will come out. You just have to decide you can accept its light. Stay strong. PS: you seem like you must have a hilarious sense of humor, from your writing style. No offense but I giggled at some of what you wrote. :)
  5. It's possible to have cysts down there. But you should go have a culture of the spot done. It's always better to know for certain one way or the other.
  6. I'm so glad I found this site as I had been going through my first outbreak (that I'm aware of), and all the depressing thoughts that go along with it. So, THANKS to all you supportive, inspiring people on here!!! I'm already doing way better after reading the blog and everyone's stories. There is hope. So my first question has to do with suppression therapy. Since my boyfriend has yet to be tested, I figured I would go ahead and start the meds to help prevent transmission. The doctor proscribed 1GM Valacyclovir daily. Does this sound like the best way to go? The reason I'm asking is, 30 pills cost me $166. Is there a more cost effective drug that does the same thing? It may be a moot point if my BF tests positive. Question 2: is the IgG the best test for my BF? The most accurate? Thanks for any info and for all the inspiration. :)
  7. It sounds like you need to love yourself first. Then you can be ready to receive love from the right man. There are tons of resources on this site to help you with that. Don't despair. I know that loving yourself is hard sometimes, because of all the negative voices in our heads. But it's something to focus your energy on, instead of trying to convince someone who is unwilling to see past the herpes. You are worth working on yourself and loving yourself.
