New here (4 years since diagnosis, one month since I started dating again), and you perfectly verbalize what I've been feeling! Not sure if it helps you, but it's helpful to read experiences like mine, so know that I feel exactly the same way! It's weirdly reassuring to hear from other people who struggle (all the "famous" hsv people have happy endings in interviews...). Still, trying to stay hopeful and believe that eventually someone will say yes to me, while putting up with rejection, with the help of a therapist and Lexapro!
