  1. hey @ASmith in my opinion people don't see it as a concern at all, it is not talk about or anything. in schools, doctors surgeries, health clinic etc there main focus is handing out chlamydia tests which leads me to believe that this county is far more concerned about 'prolife' and preventing a wide spread of a disease that can cause infertility and no at all concerned about a std that is psychological damaging as it is with you for life
  2. yh that sounds good to me or im going to look into making a awareness site for Europe (obviously anyone else can also participate) but it would be nice to break some barriers and get people talking and sharing. I think it doesn't help that no one talks about this here as it maybe increases the chances of spreading the virus as no one knows what it is. England seem to be focused more on chlamydia, which is not good as the chlamydia test cannot detect any other stds apart from gonorrhoea which is useless as there are cures for both of these so they should be so high profile as those that aint curable
  3. hey Judith yh I found the support group that you advised me on so thank you so much and I will definitely attend in june. I completely agree that the uk has a but 'hush' on the h subject its quite sad really because im sure a lot of people are out there suffering and feeling alone. I would love to set up a new charity or something to raise awareness of h and to take away some of the stigma away from such a common std thank you for your feedback I really appreciate it
  4. also was interested to no if anyone has attended the sphere group meeting that take place in different parts of the county
  5. of course its good to meet all people from around the world but I just wanted a heads up on the services that may be in England that I do not no of as it seems that in other countries h is handled better
  6. I have met a few really nice people on this site that I really enjoy speaking with daily and giving and receiving advice from. I was just wondering if anyone is from the England that wants a chat also, I am actually starting to think I am the only one lol
  7. thanks so much @Judith for the information. I just look it up and plan on attending the one in June as I just missed the meting for this month. also I totally agree with you @VirusEnhanced that h is downplayed as 'no big deal' however psychologically the effects it has is quite serious in my opinion
  8. thanks for your feedback guys. yes I agree @HerryTheHerp popular wasn't the best word to use but you get my drift lol as a young lady from London I think the uk has little services for h and almost no awareness services. maybe im destined to make this happen I think a lot of us would benefit from some sort of in person group meeting or something along them lines.
  9. hey guys I was wondering if herpes is popular? because here in the uk I had never heard of it prior
  10. hey im 22 from Liverpool in England I would like to meet people who are dealing with h, feel free to message me
