I have had hsv1 genitally for more than 2 years.(recieved from oral sex) I have been kissing a new guy and through only kissing he has had mouth sores and cankers. Is it possible for me to pass on the cold sore virus even though I have never knowingly had an oral outbreak? Is it possible for the virus to move after this time frame? Most of early 2016 I have been having frequent outbreaks genitally but haven't had one now for 3 weeks.
