Ever since my initial diagnoses ive felt tingling and/or a burning, kind of like being sunburned "down there". I started taking the valtrex again at 2 pills 2x/day. When i wake in the morning i dont feel the irritation, but later in the day i do feel it. Ive been putting coconut oil on myself it it does seem to soothe. Ive noticed two little red spots but dont know if it is a shaving bump or a herpes. Ive been trying to watch what i eat in case that is what is making me feel irritated. When i take the meds i also put on the oil and i feel good again. Im on day 4 of the full med dose. i noticed the blister christmas morn and have felt odd down there ever since... wishing this feeling would go away....

Is it possible to get hsv2 on your mouth or lips if you have it genitally?

i saw the blister on christmas day, everything is healed but still feeling the tingle/irritation. Am i contagious right now or?
Everytime i think about it i have another question. Dont mean to be a pest...

i I usually wear tights when i run or do yoga. so there is no rub. i think ill cut out excessive caffeine, and sweets, but my smoothies are my staple...lol. with no seeds then i doesnt last me until next meal...lolol

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I think Im going to continue what Im doing and see what happens. I will go crazy if I cannot workout and run. I eat very healthy, but I dont eat meat so i tend to eat a lot of nuts and stuff. I started taking lysine and probiotic supplements each day.

i just had my first outbreak, it wasnt severe and everything appears healed. But im still getting the nonstop tingling that is making me crazy.
I work out 5-6 days/week. Im so worried that i wont be able to do that now.

Well, I told my husband tonight. Wow, he didnt get mad at all. In fact, he said he might have given it to me because years ago he had some bumps on his penis long before we met, and also he has cold sores a lot.

I was just diagnosed with hsv2 on wednesday. Omg, im so overwhelmed. I am reading what i should and shouldnt eat, drink, wear...holy moly. Then I read excessive exercise can cause outbreaks. My meals consist of smoothies with nuts, seeds, fruits, yogurt and protein powders. From what i understand i can only have the fruit and yogurt part of it. I also hike, run, and workout in the gym...Im ready to cry.

Dr gave me Valtrex but said to use it when i had an outbreak. So right now im doing nothing. Ive that oil of oregano will help. Is this true? do i put it pure right on myself? or should i mix it with other oil?

Another question,,, I had one little blister on one side and a red spot on the other side. Both are gone now and healed, but where they were is a bit swollen. Am I going to have another OB?

He can be pretty thick headed. Likes to get loud. I will try to show him the info. I know he will go nuts for a day or two, hopefully he will begin to think after he calms down.

Im absolutely devastated about this. I fear that my carelessness for my sexual health while in my 20s has caught up to me. And i think ill be paying a big price for it

Thank you, Im an absolute mess right now. Im going to talk to a nurse i think at an STI clinic and get more facts to show him. I hate the fact that i will have to prove my innocence.... But i know how i would feel if he told me the same.

Hi Im new here. Im 44 and was just diagnosed with hsv2. im heartbroken. Ive been married for 16 years. Throughout the years ive been plagued with yeast infections but now am wondering if they were in fact small outbreaks. I havent told my husband yet. Too scared. I dont think he has been cheating, but we have been having many marital issues and im sure he will think i have been.
I found a small blister christmas morning. my sores have healed but i still feel the tingle that isnt going away. dr gave me some valtrex that helps but tingle is still there. Does this mean i am having another outbreak? why would i get this now?

I was just diagnosed with hsv2. I have no idea how as ive been married for 16 years. Anyways, i guess how doesnt matter now as i have it. I had two little blisters that have been healed for about a week now. However, im feeling a constant tingle down there that never really goes away. How long does this last? Does it mean i am contagious right now?
For many years i have gotten what I thought were yeast infections. I thought this was yeast as well that wouldnt go away. The dr swabbed and i was positive for hsv2. Im shocked and worried. Still havent told my husband. Im worried he will think ive been cheating as we have been having marital issues. I dont think he has cheated, but i guess it is possible.

Patience isnt one of my talents...lol. I think im just trying to eat properly and then it got worse so i second guess what im doing...sigh. Im trying to be patient and accept but it is very hard....
